a perfect life
i found this poem while searching for one for an english speach, and i’ve come to love it. but the looks of it, it is explaining a beautiful garden she has found and she’s beckoning her brother to join here there. it’s sweet and imaginative, but it holds a deep meaning. she is truely saying she has found the perfect wolrd- that perfect world we all yearn for; and she wishes for her brother to join her in it. i know i want to find that world and i envy her for finding it. i’d though i’d share this though with you.. maybe give those of you who are also searching for that perfect world just a bit more hope.
There is another sky by Emily DickinsonThere is another sky,Ever serene and fair,
And there is another sunshine,
Though it be darkness there;
Never mind faded forests, Austin,
Never mind silent fields -
Here is a little forest,
Whose leaf is ever green;
Here is a brighter garden,
Where not a frost has been;
In its unfading flowers
I hear the bright bee hum:
Prithee, my brother,
Into my garden come!
